Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited. (GNFC) , is a joint sector enterprise promoted by the Government of Gujarat and the Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd. (GSFC). It was set up in Bharuch, Gujarat in 1976 . Located at Bharuch in an extremely prosperous industrial belt, GNFC draws on the resources of the natural wealth of the land as well as the industrially rich reserves of the area.
GNFC have their entire business run by SAP based ERP system which runs Oracle Database in the backend. They were looking for a far disaster recovery option for which BeyonData helped them setup the data-guard based DR site on Mumbai based DC of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The component used on Oracle Cloud was Database as a Service(PaaS).
The solutions proposed and implemented by BeyonData not only ensured that the DR was in a different seismic zone but also was setup in a meity empanelled cloud service provider which took care of all the security concerns majorly faced by a public sector entity in a public cloud environment.
As a result, in return of peace of mind assured by BeyonData and Oracle Teams to GNFC management, they rewarded back with a 5 year long commitment for DR plan on OCI.
